HeritageHub

Explore your family history with the premier collection of U.S. obituaries and death notices for in-depth genealogical research from 1704 – today. HeritageHub helps you easily identify relatives, uncover new information and potentially unknown family members. Includes deep coverage from all 50 states, hard-to-find content from the mid 1900’s, and original obituary images.

Access from inside the library on a library computer, personal computer, or device. Remote access requires a Saratoga Springs Public Library card.

HeritageQuest

Your library’s resource for census data, family records and local histories. This collection assembles every extant U.S. federal census, banking and military records, genealogies, local histories, primary source materials, and genealogical and local history serials. HeritageQuest Online is an ongoing project (new content is added regularly).

Hoopla

Borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, and TV shows on a computer, tablet, or phone - and even your TV! Using a “Bingepass” you can also digitally borrow either an entire season of a TV series, or 7 days worth of Creativebug (self-paced arts and crafts classes) access!

Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video platform specifically made for patrons of libraries that offers a large collection of award-winning films and documentaries, as well as children’s programming.

Mango Languages

Mango is an online language-learning system that teaches actual conversation skills for 42 different languages. Recommended by LA Times Travel as an online language learning resource for travelers.

There are also mobile apps for your phone for on-the-go learning!

MasterFILE Elite

Designed specifically for public libraries, MasterFILE Elite provides full-text magazines and reference books covering many subject areas. It also includes an extensive image collection.

MasterFILE Reference eBook Collection

This eBook reference collection offers a rich selection of eBook titles covering a broad range of general reference subjects. Topics include biography, history, careers, cooking, literature, genealogy, health, parenting, personal finance, politics, architecture, science, current events, social-emotional health, sports, and travel.

Morningstar Investing Center

Morningstar Investing Center is an online database designed specifically for libraries. With data and analysis on over 41,000 investments, the database is available to fulfill the investing needs of patrons, students, and researchers across all levels of expertise.

New York Heritage

New York Heritage Digital Collections features a broad range of materials that present a glimpse into our state’s history and culture. Over 350 libraries, museums, archives, and other cultural institutions make their collections available in our repository. These primary source materials span the range of New York State’s history, from the colonial era to present. Our stories are told through photographs, letters, diaries, directories, maps, books, and more.

Publicly Available Content Database

Over 3,000 scholarly journals, and trade journals, magazines, reports and conference papers published from a number of different sources around the world. Includes content from major subject repositories such as arXiv as well as open access journals.

Saratoga Room Digital Exhibits

A collection of photographs, letters, objects, maps, audio recordings - and other history - put into a digital format on the web, and told through story to bring the objects to life. The digitized items (and more) can be found within the Saratoga (Local History) Room of the Saratoga Springs Public Library.

Teacher Reference Center

A complimentary research database for teachers, Teacher Reference Center (TRC) provides indexing and abstracts for more than 230 peer-reviewed journals.
