The CDC Covid Community Level for Saratoga County is currently "High." Masks are required for all attendees at indoor programs and meetings, and in the Teen Room, and recommended for all library visitors aged two and over.

The CDC Covid Community Level for Saratoga County is currently “High” meaning that community transmission and Covid-related hospitalization rates have increased and hospital capacity is diminished.

The Saratoga County Department of Public Health has issued a public health advisory, recommending that:

  • Individuals wear a well-fitting mask indoors in public, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Individuals who are immunocompromised or high risk for severe disease should
    • Wear a mask or respirator that provides greater protection.
    • Consider avoiding non-essential indoor activities in public where they could be exposed.

Accordingly:

  • Masks covering both the mouth and the nose are:
    • Recommended for all people aged two and over while visiting the library;
    • Required for all people aged two or over attending group programs or meetings inside the library;
    • Required in the Teen Room;
    • Required for all library staff, volunteers, and contractors in all public and shared spaces within the library.
  • To encourage the use of masks, consumption of food and drinks in public areas, including meeting rooms, inside the library is currently prohibited.

Requirements are subject to change if there are changes in guidance from public health officials.
