Michelle Isopo, Archivist and local history Librarian for the Saratoga Room shares the history of Dr. D.C. Moriarta, a local physician who pioneered the use of radium in the very early stages of cancer research and treatment here in Saratoga Springs. Learn who Dr. Moriarta was, and how he was driven to create a healthy water and sewage treatment plant in early Saratoga Springs. We’ll also share his many journal writings about the health benefits of the region’s natural mineral springs.
