Sample Images from our Collection
Image Collections
In partnership with the Capital District Library Council, selected images from the Saratoga Room are being posted on the web. Please view our images in this growing collection.
Stereoviews
A stereoview (also known as stereoscope or stereo cards) is a nineteenth century 3-D photograph! Found above are only a few examples of what we have in our collection (but the images here do not do them justice!). We also have a vast local post-card collection, 360° panoramic pictures, and many other pieces of history.

Saratoga Veteran Memorabilia and Photos
From the collection of the library's Saratoga Room, this photo of the 46th Annual Reunion Survivors of the 77th Regiment N.Y. Infantry Volunteers (Civil War) was taken on September 19, 1918 on the steps of Saratoga Springs City Hall, which at the time also housed the Saratoga Chapter of the American Red Cross.
To complement our physical collection, Saratoga Springs Public Library is proud to partner with the New York State Military Museum to make selections from the Veteran Oral History Program available online.
