Library opening has been restored to pre-pandemic hours, and a whole "Ocean of Possibilities" awaits Library visitors this summer. Some attendance and space limitations remain in place, for now, and masking requirements are subject to change according to guidance from health officials, but there appears to be cause for optimism.
The CDC Covid Community Level for Saratoga County is currently "Low." While masks are appreciated for all attendees at indoor programs and meetings, and in the Teen Room, they are currently not required inside the library.
We invite the public to use this quick guide to find library programming in a particular area of interest for the months of May & June, 2022.
Because our current health crisis is disproportionately affecting People of Color and working poor people, and given our present national reckoning with systemic racism, implicit biases, and unearned privileges, we are recommitting to fostering racial justice, socioeconomic inclusion, and human dignity by committing to undertake a review of policies, procedures, and practices in order to identify and eliminate barriers to service. Library Director, Ike Pulver, announces the first policy updates resulting from this process.
